Who we are

Ask Axel (askaxel.co.uk) is an independent education website based in the UK. We're responsible for the personal information described in this notice. You can contact us about your information using our contact form.

What we collect

We don't ask for financial information about you. Our calculators and the starting-point check run in your browser, and we don't store or receive anything you enter.

How we use it, and why

We will never sell your information or share it for other companies' marketing.

Who we share it with

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. We keep messages you send us for up to 12 months, unless we need them for longer to deal with your request.

Cookies and analytics

We only use analytics cookies if you agree to them. If you click "Accept" on our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site, such as which pages they visit and how they found us. This helps us improve our guides. Google Analytics sets cookies on your device and Google processes this information for us.

If you click "Reject", or don't choose, we don't load Google Analytics or set any analytics cookies. You can change your choice at any time using "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.

We remember your choice in your browser's local storage, which is necessary for the banner to work. We don't use advertising cookies. If that changes, we'll ask for your permission first and update this notice.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to how we use it and to withdraw your consent at any time. To do any of these, use our contact form.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this notice

We'll update this page if anything changes and show the date of the latest update at the top.
